NO I LOVE THIS
TIME TO EDUCATE PEOPLE ON CINEMAGRAPHS FOR A SECOND TIME
cinemagraphs are NOT gifs. unlike gifs, cinemagraphs are technically photos that only have one thing being in constant motion while everything else stays the same. only the moving bit is on loop.
UM. That’s funny OP because if I’m not mistaken if youuse inspect element on any browser you will find that this in fact a gif type image.
What you should be stating is that these are special types of gifs where only a section of the gif is in an infinite loop where the rest remains static. This gives the “cinemagraph” feel you mention.
You know, if you’re trying to be pedantic or something…

I keep seeing circulating reblogs with these sort of links every few weeks, don’t do it. You may get the video, but you don’t know what kind of malicious code could be hidden in that executable.
So yeah, don’t do it. Not worth the risk.

Finishing this one late last night at the office pulled me into this familiar moment of being a little overwhelmed at how awesome my job is and how lucky I am to be doing it. I’m a joyful nerd.
